John is a native of Franklin County, Alabama. He is married to Amy. John and Amy have three children: Andrew, Ellie and Avery. The McReynolds make their home in Russellville, Alabama and are active members of Russellville First Methodist Church. When he is not working, John enjoys watching Mississippi State Athletics, spending time with his family and friends and fishing.

John is currently working as co-counsel in multiple civil cases involving illegal gambling where companies offer virtual slot machines through common smartphone applications. Those cases are attempting to recover lost wagers for the benefit of the wives and children of the gambler(s).

John is currently working as co-counsel on cases involving TurboTax wherein TurboTax is believed to have taken hidden fees from those users of their services.

John is a University of North Alabama graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree. During college, John was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity.
After completing his undergraduate education, John attended Cumberland School of Law where he graduated with his Juris Doctorate degree in April of 2000.
